In short
MusePrep is a static website. We use no cookies, no tracking, no analytics and no advertising. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served from our own server; no content is loaded from third-party servers when you visit. There are no comments, no contact form and no user accounts.

2. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by PLACEHOLDER: name and address of the hosting provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
When a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested address and amount of data transferred
- response status code
- address of the previously visited page (referrer), if sent by the browser
- browser and operating system (user agent)
The purpose is to deliver the website, keep the server secure and analyse errors. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. The logs are deleted after PLACEHOLDER: retention period of the hosting provider. They are not combined with other data.
3. Encryption
The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS (recognisable by “https://”).
4. Contact by email
If you send us an email, we process your address and the information you provide in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract or pre-contractual questions are concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the data once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Links to YouTube and other websites
Videos are linked, not embedded. Only when you click a link do you leave our website; from then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies – for YouTube, that of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. No data is transmitted to these providers before you click.
6. Fonts
The fonts used are stored locally on our server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other font providers.
7. Klanglabor and quizzes
The Klanglabor (the interactive course under “Quiz”) runs entirely in your browser. It stores your learning progress – points, achievements, daily streak and the sound setting – in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This data does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us or third parties. Storing it is strictly necessary for the service you requested, continuing the course (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete your progress in the Klanglabor with “Fortschritt zurücksetzen” (reset progress) or in your browser settings. Sounds are generated in the browser; no audio files are loaded from third-party servers.
The other quizzes work without JavaScript and store nothing.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) (Art. 21). Please contact us at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
